Moraga School District Elementary School Climate Survey: Children learn best when they feel safe and secure at school. The MSD Elementary School Climate Survey annually provides an opportunity for parents to give important feedback to teachers and administrators about their child(ren)’s current school experience.  Survey information is anonymous and is used to monitor progress and develop future areas to improve upon via school plans and the District’s Local Control Accountability Plan. The survey closes 12/19/2018.

This survey should take no more than 5 minutes to complete. Survey results will be posted on the MSD website in January.  You should complete a survey for each TK-5th grade student you currently attending a Moraga elementary school. Thank you for taking the time to provide us with this valuable information. Here is the link to the survey: MSD Elementary School Climate Survey

Awesome Attendance Improvement:  The learning in our classrooms can’t be replaced by independent study worksheets and reading. Over the past three years you have made a huge effort to schedule vacations to overlap with school breaks. Independent study days from start of school to know over the past three school years:

2016-17: 148 days missed

2017-18: 66 days missed

2017-18: 10 days missed

Thank you for your support!

School Board Presentation 12/11/2018: On December 11th our 5th grade teachers and some students will be presenting some examples of how we are teaching/learning perspective, insight and empathy in the 5th grade curriculum. If you want to better understand the what/how of the history curriculum please read the California History and Social Sciences Framework.

2019-2020 Calendar: Did you know that the first day of school next year is August 13? Here is a link to the 2019-2020 Calendar.

CP Math Tutor Need: We offer some of our first and second grade students some extra support in math starting in January. We are looking for a math tutor to deliver our math intervention program 4 days a week from about 2:00-3:00. If you are interested please contact me for next steps.

Soccer Gear Collection: Hi, my name is Noah Yeager and I am a Boy Scout from Troop 243 in Lafayette. I am working on my Eagle Scout Project, by collecting soccer uniforms for Trust in Education,  a non-profit organization that provides educational, economical and health care assistance to refugees in Afghanistan.

Trust in Education has helped implement soccer programs, to improve school attendance and add much needed fun into the children’s day.  Your donations will help support these programs.

I am asking for soccer donations, including the following items for Youth and Adults.      We would appreciate any donations of these items, clean and in good condition:

• Soccer Uniforms • Soccer Cleats

• Shin Guards   • Soccer Socks

• Soccer Balls

** We will be collecting these items here at this location until

    THURSDAY, 12/6/18.

Our fundraiser with GoodEggs is almost over!  It will go through Friday, November 30.  GoodEggs offers grocery delivery, a $15 discount for new customers, and 5% donated back to CP.  Place your order at and use the code "BOBCAT18".  If we have 20 new families from CP, our school will receive a $500 bonus (we still need a number of new families to sign up in order to achieve this). Thank to everyone who have participated already!

Hofssi Chocolates will be donating 20% of purchases to CP this holiday season!  Order ONLINE at HOFSSI.COM by December 7 and use the code "CP" at checkout. Your order will be delivered to the CP office on Monday, December 17. Thank you to Hofssi  (a Moraga-owned business) for their partnership, and thank you to CP families for supporting our school!

Ordering holiday cards soon?  Tiny Prints and Shutterfly will be donating 13% back to CP!  This was a very successful effort for CP last year, let's try to beat our numbers in 2018. Please use this link when you order to benefit our school, and you can also use any discounts they're offering at the time.  Happy Holidays!
