The Moraga Education Foundation raises funds to preserve and enhance educational opportunities for all Moraga public school students, through a broad-based community effort. We believe that together the entire community can build a better future for our children consistent with the educational goals of the Moraga School District and Campolindo High School.
For this 2010-2011 year MEF donors raised an outstanding $1.4M for our schools. Just over $1 million is being contributed to the three Moraga elementary schools and JM.
For the Moraga School District, your donations to MEF are funding 2.67 teaching positions, 100% of the Moraga School District’s music, physical education, art, and library programs, the “Z” period/elective program at Joaquin Moraga Middle School, and more than a third of the District’s technology budget.
Currently, we have launched our 2010-11 campaign, where we raise money for the next school year. Given that the state is projecting even more cuts to our school funding, the need for private dollars is even greater. We have set a $1.6 M goal and ask that each family contributes $750 or more (tax deductible) per student to MEF to help support district-wide programs and services. Our goal is to have 100% family participation, and we appreciate donations of all sizes. Every dollar from every family, community member, and business partner makes a difference.
