Math Lending Library

Check Out Our Games!

The Math Lending Library was recommended by the School-Based Coordinated Program Council’s math committee as a way for children to practice and improve basic math skills.Addition, subtraction, multiplication and division skills are critical on their own and as a foundation for higher math, science and other areas of study. Mastering these skills often takes practice and repetition. Games, music and books give students a great opportunity to have fun while practicing the math they have learned in school.

Where is the Math Lending Library?
Main school building, down the hall from the office.

What is available?
Games, music, and lists of books available at the CP Library,
all of which focus on having fun while doing math.

Who can borrow?
  Parents/guardians of CP students.

How long may I keep an item?
Items may be checked out for two weeks.

Here's how...

  1. Select a game, CD or book

Each game, CD or book has a cover page summarizing basic information about it (object of the game, number of players, etc.)

If you want to focus on particular math skills, refer to the Math Content Standards Charts (see links) for help in identifying a game, CD or book to borrow.

  2. Complete Checkout cards

Fill out the white Checkout Card in the pocket of the item to be borrowed with the student’s name and the due date (two weeks from today)

Put that card in the orange checkout-card box.

Take a pink Due Date card from the same box. Write the due date on it, and put this card in the pocket on the item to be borrowed.

  3. Take it home and enjoy!

  4. Return the Game/CD/book

Fill out the Parent Feedback Form included in the item’s bag and put it in the Parent Feedback box—be sure to note missing pieces

Put the returned item in the cabinet marked “RETURNS”

*This resource is run entirely on the honor system. Please be conscientious about taking care of and returning items on time. Thank you!

Tell us what you think about the games, CDs, and books you use, as well as what you think about the Math Lending Library in general. Also, if you know of a great game, CD or book to add to our library, let us know.  Use the Parent Feedback Forms included with every game and CD. (Forms are also located on the Math Lending Library table.)  Your input will help us improve this resource to better meet the needs of our children! Thank you!
