CP HOT LUNCH SURVEY RESULTS

 

As you may know, the PTA currently operates the hot lunch program.  The PTA recently solicited Camino Pablo families to take part in a survey in order to gather information to help improve the hot lunch program.  

The PTA’s goal for this program is to provide healthy, quality food that kids like at an affordable price and to make available a convenient alternative to lunch brought from home.  Hot lunch is the PTA’s second biggest income generator (behind the school auction).  The income from hot lunch goes directly back to the school to fund important programs, such as aides in the classrooms, PE, Math Night, Spelling Bee, Book Club, Rancho Days, Living Science, instructional supplies, technology supplies, and much more. 

There are several variables that factor into the hot lunch program.  Currently local vendors from Lamorinda restaurants provide the food for hot lunch.  The PTA works with the various vendors to ensure food variety, quality, healthiness, popularity, and affordability.

The survey provided valuable information for the PTA to improve upon this program.  Thank you to those families who took part in the survey.  Here are the survey results.

 (1st through 5th grade only)

 

 Online Registration: You can order your hot lunch selections on-line. Sign up at http://www.eteambuilder.org/cppta. If you have problems accessing your account or are a new family needing to set up an account, contact Cathy Lyon at cponline.reg@gmail.comfor assistance.

Please Note** Deadline for online registration is March 3.

Credit Card payments cannot be made after this date.  If you have missed the online deadline please contact: Arlene Wong (kpcakw@sbcglobal.net). You may place orders directly with Arlene until March 7 for an on time start. Orders placed after March 7 will be considered late and will not start until March 26.

We have some fresh new ideas along with your favorites.  Enjoy!

 

Our Vendors include:

 

Terzetto  - which pride themselves in all natural, no hormones, no nitrates or nitrites meats as well as fresh cheeses, organic fruits and vegetables. They will provide a salad bar daily.

 

* Caesar salad, “homemade” dressing, croutons and freshly grated parmesan cheese.

* 5 Fresh cut fruits/vegetables  - selections change daily.

The NEW LAMORINDA PIZZA – specialize in providing hot lunch to our district.

 

Mucho Wraps - Delicious Mexican cuisine that the kids love.

 

China Moon - Back with your favorite dishes on Tuesdays and Fridays.

 

AND the popular ROUND TABLE PIZZA will be on our menu again with a choice of cheese and pepperoni pizza.

 

And lastly, we are continuing to offer the delicious all fruit  (non-dairy) smoothies from Si Si Caffe.

Spring Session Hot Lunch Important Dates and Deadlines

 

Tuesday, Februrary 21           Online Registration and Sign Up Opens

Saturday, March 3                  Online Sign Up Closes

Wednesday, March 7             All orders for a March 12 start due

Monday, March 12                 Spring Session starts

Friday, March  23                   All late orders, changes, additions or cancellations due

Monday, March 26                 Effective date for all changes, additions, late orders & cancellations

 

 

Hot Lunch Policies 2011-2012  - Spring Session

 

Payment

Families who opted to pay via check rather than credit card, should make their Hot Lunch payment as soon as possible. Please submit your payment with your hot lunch order attached (this can be printed from the e-teambuilder website) or with Spring Hot Lunch and your child(ren)’s name in the memo field so that the PTA can easily assign your various PTA payments. Payments may be dropped off at the school office attention to Arlene Wong.

 

PTA will send home reminders via e-mail or backpack mail for any outstanding hot lunch payments. Please pay promptly. Families will not be able to order Hot Lunch for the next menu period until their account is cleared. For the spring menu period, families who have not paid for hot lunch will not be able to register in the fall until their account is cleared.

 

Orders after On-line Registration Closes

Orders for Hot Lunch can be made after online registration closes by contacting Arlene Wong (kpcakw@sbcglobal.net). She can provide you with an order form. Please submit your order request and Arlene will confirm the order and the amount due. If orders are placed by March 7, we can start your order at the beginning of session on March 12.

 

Late Orders

Order placed after the March 7 sign up deadline is considered late and will not be effective until March 26, when revised quantities are set with vendors. Late orders, however, will be charged the full menu price. Please place your order by contacting Arlene Wong (kpcakw@sbcglobal.net). She can provide you with an order form. Please submit your order request and Arlene will confirm the order and the amount due. Payments cannot be made online and should be made by check, payable to CP PTA with Spring Hot Lunch and your child(ren)’s name in the memo field. Payments may be dropped off at the school office attention to Arlene Wong.

 

We cannot accept late orders after final numbers have been set with vendors. The deadline for new hot lunch orders is Friday, March 23.

 

 

Hot Lunch Changes Policy

Changes or additions to your initial hot lunch order should be submitted to Arlene Wong (kpcakw@sbcglobal.net). For the spring menu period, all changes should be submitted by Friday, March 23 by 6 p.m. Upon receipt of your request, Arlene will confirm the change request and any additional amount due. All changes will take effect two weeks after Hot Lunch starts, March 26.

 

After March 23, you may request changes, or additions, or new orders, but we cannot guarantee that we have the inventory to accommodate your request. Please send any requests to Arlene Wong (kpcakw@sbcglobal.net) and we will accommodate you if possible.

 

 

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations can be made with a full prorated refund for the remaining weeks of the menu period if canceled before final numbers are set with vendors. After orders are set with vendors, we do not offer  refunds. For the spring menu period, all cancellations must be made by Friday, March 23, 6 p.m. to receive a full prorated refund.
