2010 - 2011 FIRST SEMESTER
3rd Grade - Keyboarding and All About Me using "Microsoft Word" and "Microsoft Paint" (word processing, drawing their portrait, applying portrait to their "Word" document, saving to their personal folder and printing)
4th Grade - Review Keyboarding and Summer Fun using "Microsoft Paint" as a drawing tool and for writing text. Regions focusing on Mountains, Coastal areas and Plateaus. They will make an Acrostic Poem using "Microsoft Word" applying the Region of their choice. Place a picture of the region at the bottom of the document from the Internet. Save it in their personal folder and print. Rocks and Minerals using "Microsoft Word" (word processing, research on the Internet and on www.encarta.msn.com comparing their chosen rock to their chosen mineral, inserting graphics and placing them on their "Word" document, saving in their personal folder and printing)

5th Grade - Review Keyboarding and Event Flyer using "Microsoft Word" planing an event and making a flyer to advertize the event. They will add pictures from the Internet or clip art from "Word", save it to their personal folder and print. Famous Explorers using the Internet, and www.encarta.msn.com for their research, "Inspration", and "PowerPoint" (using a worksheet and "Inspiration" to organize their research, expand their facts on a "PowerPoint" presentation...adding background, transitions, custom animation, pictures from the Internet and sound from "Soundzbound" - a royalty-free music library that meets the licensing and technology requirements for education and provides high quality production music for all grades, adding a video from "Discovery Education Streaming - the largest k-12 video library available today and over 4,600 files, creating a presentation of their own, saving this presentation to their personal folder and present them to their classmates.
